Afghan Coal
Afghanistan is reported to have coal reserves totaling 100-400 million tons. These mines are located from Badakhshan and extend up to Herat Province. The country has more than 11 coal reserves. The coal is generally low in Ash and Sulphur and have a medium volatile matter and moisture. It is exported in different sizes which includes 0-50, 5-15, 10-25. It is mostly above 6,000/Kcal/kg.

Balochistan Quetta Coal

Quetta Coal is one of the best coal available in Pakistan with highest calorific values and lowest sulphur level as compare to other regions of coal in pakistan.

The main sub-areas/mines of Quetta Coal from which best quality coal is extract are PMDC, Paracha-1, Kalat Bangal, Spin Karez, Muree etc.
Quetta coal is used by local industries in Pakistan because of its good quality and high steam generating values.

Balochistan Duki Coal

A good quality high calorific value coal has been found in and around Chamalang – Bala Dhaka, Lunda, Surghari, Nosham and Bahlol areas in Loralai, Barkhan and Kohlu districts of Balochistan.

KPK Dara Coal

It is rich with high-quality coal with the highest rate of extraction in Pakistan. Coal is the main business in the area. More than 80% of the local population are directly involved in the coal business. The coal business is entirely in private hands, although only individuals and not companies are the owners.

South African Coal

South Africa coal is classified as RB 1 and RB 2 (RB ) stand for = Richards Bay) coal.

It is very soft coal with less sulphuric contents. For steam generation it is one of the best product

The classification of RB product is as a result of the globalCoal platform that was commercialised in 2000, which is essentially an over-the–counter (OTC) platform. In general this is also referred to an A-grade product.
